THE BOOK
I used to weigh 350 pounds. All of the pictures on the back cover are of me. The two on the left were taken about 14 years ago near the height of my weight gain. The two on the right were taken after I got delivered from food addiction. I changed quite a bit in 14 years. While the changes didn’t happen overnight, they did happen. It wasn’t all that long ago I tried to hide the fact that I was hyperventilating after climbing a flight of stairs. It was so embarrassing when it happened. I hated climbing stairs with anyone else around because it reminded me of just how fat I was.
I have been encouraged by many people to write a book about my weight loss journey, but I have been hesitant because it’s difficult for me to tell you how I lost it. While I am so grateful to have shed the pounds, telling my story almost feels boastful, and that’s not my personality at all. I have to sincerely give the credit to the Lord because He is the one who helped me rid myself of the albatross that hung around my neck for the majority of my life. Therein lies the real reason I wanted to write this book.
THE STORY
In my book, Two Feet, I tell my story. I reveal the struggle that I had with weight loss and the devastating effects it had on my life. But, I also gave you the way I got out. My transformational moment took place over 15 years ago, and I am still thin today.
